PLAY OFF FEVER

                                                  

 It's that time of the season as we prepare for the playoffs. In the South West Division of the Western Conference there are three team in contention the Santa Clarita Storm, FC Hasental, and the San Diego Flash. F.C. Hasental sitting in control of the top spot with 24 points going in to this  weekend followed closely by the Storm with 20 and the Flash with 20 as well and only three games left to play. 

Hasental will host the Las Vegas Stallions  while the Flash play host to Boca and the Storm will play host to Orange County Pateadores. The season concludes on July 7th and the top two teams will be eligible for a playoff spot. The National Premier Soccer League posted the format for the playoffs on there website (www.nationalpriemersoccerleague.com )  this week  and it looks like this. 

SOUTH REGION

Format: Final Four at Top Seeded Team (points per game in regular season
play)

- July 12th Semifinals Doubleheader

- July 14th Finals

NORTHEAST REGION

Format: Top seed hosts

July 17th Semifinals

- #1 Keystone Conference hosts #2 Atlantic Conference

- #1 Atlantic Conference hosts #2 Keystone Conference

July 21st Finals

-Top Seed Hosts

MIDWEST REGION

Format: Hybrid of Conference Final Four then Region Championship Game

- Great Lakes Conference Final Four at Top Seed July 12th Semifinals & July 14th Finals

- Central Conference Champion (Regular Season Champ) Hosts Great Lakes Conference Champion in Region Final (Region alternates every year which conference hosts) on July 19th or July 20th

WEST REGION

Format:  Top Seed hosts (average points per game)

Semifinals on July 13

- #1 Southern hosts #2 Golden Gate

- #1 Golden Gate hosts #2 Southern

- Winners advance to Region Final on July 20th

The Storm will host FC Hasental on the 29th at Canyon High it what will be a playoff atmosphere as both teams will be battling for not only for one of the two playoff spots, but also for the South West Divisional title. Don't miss a minute of the action as the remainder of the season unfolds.
