Well Mr. Barton as reported by the United Soccer Leagues has just been promoted to General Manager of the LA Blues of the USL Pro leagues. As reported on the USL website Mr. Barton was quoted in saying “ I have a lot of respect for the Blues organization and can’t wait to begin meeting the players this week toward getting our plans and preparations under way for the new season.”
Well one of the things he has done to get started to contact personally Tyler Coombes and has extended an invitation to join the Blues in training January 7th. According to Coombes in a phone interview with Gerald Brunner CEO of the Santa Clarita Storm and its parent corporation United Sports International Inc. “I remember seeing you in play during the NPSL season and I would like you to join the team in training January 7th I believe you have a good chance of making the team”. That’s what it is all about, said Brunner getting the players to the next step in there career. We have a couple of other players that will be getting looks for other clubs in the Pro leagues of the USL in the coming month. Derek Dodrill, Alex Harlley, and Jesus Lopez.
The Santa Clarita Storm will be holding tryouts January 5th and 6th at Central Park in Santa Clarita
the Storm is looking for serous players with the desire and ability to play at the professional level.
The Storm competes in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL). The Storm play’s its season April though July. And will train from February to July and will participate in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup qualifiers. Interested players go to the Storm website at www.fcscprosoccer.com for more details
