The Storm Play’s and Trains in off Season

        Get your chance to train with the Storm



 Santa Clarita, California- The Santa Clarita Storm, Santa Clarita’s only Professional men’s soccer team that participates  in the National Premier Soccer League the fourth tier of US Soccer Federation. A few of Storm’s core players that have been seen in the off season participating in the premier division of the adult Indoor soccer league. They play at the Santa Clarita Soccer Center on Soledad Canyon. The players (listed below) can be seen playing on Tuesday nights (times vary schedule can be found by contacting the Soccer Center 661-288-2600) They have three games in the new season and so far they remain undefeated with 2 wins and one tie.  The purpose of the players participating is to maintain a certain level of fitness.  “We need to get back in shape

and stay there, plus the more we play together in the off season the easier
it is to prepare for next season.” Said Tyler Coombes the Storms Top point getter the last two seasons and the team’s captain. We need to have the best season yet in 2014 so to do that we need our serious players to commit to an off season routine, Coombes went on to say.  Coombes has also set up an off season training routine for additional two days per week at Central Park on Bouquet Canyon Road in Santa Clarita.  On Monday evening the players will work on distance training to build endurance and on Thursday evening it is speed and skill training. . Coombes along with Nick Rowin, Jeff Lucateero, Eric Flores, Able Hinjosa, Steven Rodriguez, and Derek Dodrill along with others invite players that are thinking of registering for the January tryouts and would like to join the players in training on Mondays and Thursdays are most welcome to do so. Tyler Coombes makes the offer to those who wish to gain a head start on the tryouts by getting in to shape, and have the opportunity to get to know the veteran players of the team before you attend the January tryouts.
